That’s why each booking has its own guide or instructor:
✅ Certified divers enjoy the company of a guide for groups of up to 4 when booking together. Separate bookings receive individual guides. If you’re diving solo, rest assured, you’ll have a dedicated guide just for you.
✅ Opt for a Discover Scuba Diving Program, and you’ll have a private instructor focused solely on you. Our commitment is 1 instructor per student. Bring along a partner or friend, and while you’ll dive side by side, each of you will benefit from dedicated supervision.

About us
Southern Dreams Diving Club is a certified and affiliated ADIP and SSI dive center in Bali (number 741186).
We take pride in announcing that our experienced multi-lingual Instructor Trainers have graduated from PADI, CMAS, ADIP, and SSI. This means they have completed not just one but four different agency training programs to become certified diving instructors.
Consequently, the benefit for you is that you will receive quality and advanced training when you take your diving courses with us.
SSI and ADIP dive center – Worldwide recognition
In terms of recognition, there is no difference between the four diving associations, and there are even many more out there. All of them are internationally recognized, and you can also switch between agencies. So, even if, for example, you’ve completed your Open Water Diver course with PADI/CMAS/ADIP, you can take your Advanced course with SSI, and you could even continue and do your Rescue course with PADI or vice versa.
On the other hand, in terms of training, there are some differences. All agencies have similar standards, but:
✅ SSI and PADI teach recreational diving, limiting to a maximum depth of 40m (a Deep Diving specialty course is required).
✅ CMAS and ADIP teach sports diving that allows for decompression dives from level 2 onwards, and deep diving up to 60 meters (a minimum of level 3 is required).
That’s why we have affiliated with both SSI and ADIP diving agencies. Depending on your goals as a diver, you can choose the path you wish to follow.
We believe that ADIP offers a more interactive and versatile approach. Consequently, it allows us to tailor the program to the needs of our students and the specific conditions of Bali.
It’s no secret that in Bali, we have changing tides and currents, and this is the main reason why we have chosen to offer ADIP and SSI courses to our clients. Because it gives us the flexibility to meet not only your learning pace but also the conditions of Mother Nature.
Diving Courses in Bali for beginners
✅ It’s not a certification but an introduction to scuba diving. It’s a one-day program where we conduct 2 dives in the sea.

👉 Discover Scuba Diving – Introduction Dive for Beginners. Minimum age 10 years old.
✅ Your first diving certification:
👉 Scuba Diver: A two-day course that grants you a diving certification to dive under supervision up to a maximum depth of 12 meters.
👉 Open Water Diver Course: An entry-level diving certification where you obtain a lifelong certification to dive anywhere in the world up to a maximum depth of 20 meters. It’s a 3-day program with 4 dives.
